I don't know if any of this will link up, but my gggggpa was David Eller, born abt. 1797, living in Iredell County, NC. He died in 1880, and his petition for final settlement for his estate was advertised in The Landmark, April 11, 1884. This was the newspaper published in Statesville, NC at that time. The advertisement lists the following: Ann Eliza Roseman and George Roseman (David Eller's widow who had since remarried), Benjamin Cline and wife Clarissa Cline (I assumed Clarissa was his daughter); Cowan Hoover and wife Malinda Hoover (listed as a step-daughter to Eliza Ann Eller in 1880 census); David Fink and wife Elizabeth Fink; Davidson Eller (his son, George Davidson Eller), and Barbara Eller (my ggggpa's widow), Adam E. Eller, John Eller, Margaret Eller, Angeline Eller, heirs at law of Hugh Eller, dec'd. I don't know if the Benjamin Cline listed is your Benjamin Cline or not...Clarissa is not the same first name, but I've had similar things happen, where sometime!
s they go by their first name, sometimes their middle name, etc. If this is the right group, I do have some more information I would be happy to share. Thanks, Patti
