Violet Eller

MOUNTAIN CITY-Violet Eller, 60, of 415 McElyea Road passed away Friday, April 19, 2002, in Sycamore Shoals Hospital, Elizabethton, Tenn., following a brief illness. She was a native of Johnson County and was a daughter of the late Willis Rhymer and Ruth Dyson Rhymer of 415 MeClyea Road, Mountain City. She was the custodian of First Baptist Church for 22 years and was a member and nursery worker at First Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Patsy and husband, Danny Cullop, of Mountain City; one son, Tommy Rhymer of Mountain City; mother, Ruth Rhymer of Mountain City; two brothers, Earl Rhymer of Mountain City and Burl Rhymer of Jessup, Md.; one grandson, Eric Cullop of Mountain City; one granddaughter, Shawna Cullop of Mountain City; special friend Jewel Stout of Mountain City; three nephews; and one niece.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday from First Baptist Church with Rev. Norm Reece to officiate. Music will be under the direction of Christina Lewis. Burial will be in the Donnelly Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ronda Reece, Roger May, Ray Payne, Bill Moore, John Muse, John Payne, Jerry Jordan and Bobby Dyson. Honorary pallbearers will be Buster May and deacons of First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American CAncer Society. The family will receive friends from 1 till 3 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church.
