Originally we thought our grandfather was born in Illinois. When he registered for the service he put Ackley, Iowa as his birth place. Grandfather was Charles Fred Eller born approx 1892 to John and Rena Smith Eller. His parents died when he was small so he was raised in foster care. He thought he had several older siblings. This family has been a mystery!! We haven't found one piece of solid evidence in many years of searching. Does anyone have any knowledge of this Eller family? Any leads would be appreciated.
