Ellers - in response to Erin's request for "how I found" -

Although the found person is not a direct ancestor (he's the brother of
one), finding this person was purely accidental and shows how you should
always stay alert to possible sources of info. Anyway, enough
introduction...here's what happened -

My mom was travelling and stopped in a small town in Washington for lunch.
The paper table mats had some interesting facts about the town, including
pictures of old buildings. One building was called the Cadwell Building.
Cadwell is her maiden name and, as she was raised in Washington, she
wondered if this building might have some relationship to an ancestor or
two. When she returned home to Spokane, WA, she wrote the Chamber of
Commerce of the town with the Cadwell Building. They sent her lots of
historical information about the man it was named after and other buildings
he had built. Sure enough, they're related - he was a brother of her
grandmother! And, it turns out that he left town in a bit of a hurry and
deeply in debt at the tender age of 30+! No wonder the family didn't talk
about him much!!

Enjoy -
Ginny
