Ken has a good suggestion and I wish I had thought of this resource before.
I think one address that everyone should bookmark on their web browser is
http://www.ancestry.com/ancestry/search.asp This site, maintained by
Ancestry, Inc. has been very helpful to me and where I get some of the info
for the homepages other than what is contributed by those other than members
on the lists. They have 10 databases that you can search for free from this
site..Including the MI death index... along with the complete Social
Security Death Index and the ancestral file (I think it's called) that is
basically a compilation of gedcoms...and the SSI death index and ancestral
file are always free. For every database that expires past the 10 they add
a new one. Also besides that, they have databases that you can search for a
fee. The fee I believe is $4.95 for a full month of unlimited search...there
is a link to that info from that page. Great suggestion Ken, Thanks:)
