Subject:[EGGLESTON] In defense of our dear list mom (and all others
everywhere)

In defense of our dear list mom: THANKS JEANNIE

I subscribe to two complete E -mail services: @Home and Earthlink. I am
subscribed to 11 different Listserver Gen lists.
ALL of them were subscribed to with the @Home account. Now I can read all
of my mail with either my @Home or Earthlink account, a self imposed e-mail
forwarding.
But I would be one of the below mentioned badboys if I tried to UNSUBSCRIBE
with my Earthlink account.

What I did is this: I built a special FOLDER in my original @HOME account
files called UNSUBSCRIBE. Inside of it are my emails either from the
original subsrcipton information or a later e-mail that has the UNSUBSCRIBE
and SUBSCRIBE information in it, for each one of my accounts. There it sits
never being used except when I am going out of town for an extended length
of time. It takes me all of five minutes to UNSUBSCRIBE or (re)SUBSCRIBE to
ALL of my accounts.

Please THINK about this. IF you have changed E-MAIL services since
subscribing and took them up on their FREE email FORWARDING service, then
want to UNSUBSCRIBE to a Genweb list, you are about to become a bad
boy/girl. It is YOUR and NOT your list mom's responsibility to go to Genweb
and get it straightened out. Think of it as YOU TOOK THE EASY WAY OUT when
you accepted the e-mail forwarding. If you want to unsubscribe, it is now
time to pay the piper.

The Genweb information service is a valuable tool / resource for us. please
don't make it a chore for those people who VOLUNTEER their time to help
maintain them.

In the words of our list mom:
"If all else fails READ the INSTRUCTIONS! > Have a great day..... > :)
:) :)"

Robert Riddle I'm grumpy 'til my third cup of coffee.
