I was not aware that Samuel & Hettie/Hetty came to Dickinson Co.,Va;however, I do have that their son Lewis Via, b.Feb 20,1828 in Franklin Co.,Va-died l904 in Dickinson Co.,VA.
Also another son, Isaac used the spelling of "Viers" when he moved from Franklin Co to Greenbriar Co., West Va. and is buried there in a family cemetery.
Maybe the reason I couldn't find either of them in the Franklin Co. census( which is what I was using for their death dates) is that in fact they did move to Dickinson Co.,Va. Hetty Via did not appear in the 1850 Franklin Co census.;however a 2nd wife, Nancy Spencer Via,age 36, is shown then.
I don't have Samuel Via's actual death date or place either.
