Hi Barbara
Yes this helps a lot, I have some information on George T
Edmunds who married Lucy Hawkins, George went to Texas with his Grandfather Henry Hawkins who helped to fount the
Zion Church. I have been unable to find confirmation, other
than some notes written by other researchers that George and
Lucy were the parent of Frazier Joseph (aka Flavious Josephus) who moved to Dierks Arkansas at some point with his family where Ruben Edmunds was born in 1907.

I also have Herbert Bates as one of Frazier's brothers and have been in touch with other researchers of this family group
but so far cannot actually show that the father is the same George Edmunds born in Kentucky.
