Obituary:
FORT WORTH - Sallie Edge Allard, a retired farmer, died
Sunday at a Fort Worth nursing home. She was 89.
Funeral will be Thursday at Salts Funeral Home in
Booneville, Miss. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery.
Mrs. Allard was born in Booneville and lived in Fort Worth
for 10 years.
She was an American Indian and a Baptist. Survivors:
Daughter, Marti Boren of Fort Worth; one grandson; three
stepgrandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.

dispatcher, died Saturday at a Joplin, Mo., hospital. He was
73.

RANGER - Maude Pritchard Hames, a former teacher in the
Oakley, Colony and Bullock schools in the mid 1920s, died
Friday in Ranger.
She was 90.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Second Baptist Church of
Ranger, where she was a Sunday school teacher. Burial will
be in Mount Zion Cemetery in Stephens County. Edwards
Funeral Home in Ranger is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hames was born in Necessity and received her teaching
certificate from East Texas State College.
She enjoyed gardening, painting and quilting.
Her husband, Dewey Hames, died in 1991.
Survivors: Son, Gary L. Hames of Fort Worth; daughter,
Cletis Hames Williamson of Ranger; brother, Claude Edge of
Flint; two sisters, Eula Richards of Long Beach, Calif., and
Maye Daft of Dublin; eight grandchildren; and four
granddaughters.
Duane L. Bassett
DE LEON - Duane L. Bassett, an employee of Golden Oak &
Finchers and former owner of Bassett Feeds, died Thursday at
a Dublin nursing center. He was 83.

Obituary: Moore: Alden Lee Moore, a retired carpenter, died
Thursday at a Houston hospital. He was 69. Mr. Moore was
born in Gap. He was a retired carpenter and a 25-year
veteran of the Air Force. He was a Baptist. Survivors
include two daughters, Laura Stevens of Houston and Sandy
Lee of Fort Worth; son, Steve Moore of Justin; and brother,
Glen Moore of Dallas. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Walker
Funeral Home. Burial: Coleman City Cemetery. Arrangements:
Walker Funeral Home in Coleman.
Dickson: Jill C. Dickson of Laughlin, Nev., a former Waco
resident, died Wednesday in Bullhead, Ariz. She was 45. Mrs.
Dickson was born in Clifton and raised in Walnut Springs.
She was a member of Walnut Springs Memorial Methodist
Church. Survivors include her husband, Jim Dickson of
Laughlin; and brother, Dennis Edge of Dallas. Funeral: 2
p.m. today at Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian. Burial: Oak
Grove Cemetery in Walnut Springs.
Arrangements: Lawson Funeral Home.
Springer: Mike Marshall Springer, a former Fort Worth
resident, died Friday at a hospital in Carthage, Ill. He was
45. Mr. Springer was born in Manchester, Tenn., and lived in
Carthage for one year.
He had previously lived in Fort Worth for 15 years. He is
survived by his mother and stepfather, Velma Baker and Gene
Baker of Carthage.
Other survivors include three sisters, Carol Rhodes, Rita
Rios and Janet Wheeler, all of Fort Worth; and brother, John
Gordon of Virginia. Funeral: 1 p.m. Wednesday at Gilmore
Funeral Home in Manchester. Burial: Manchester City
Cemetery.
Trotter: J.T. "Tommy" Trotter, a retired manager of
procurement operation of Kopper Wood Preserving Co. died
Thursday in Arlington.
He was 93. Mr. Totter was a member of Walnut Street Church
of Christ in Texarkana, Texas, where he served as a deacon
for 56 years. He lived in Arlington for six years and
attended North Davis Church of Christ. Area survivors
include a daughter, Margaret Jones of Arlington; and three
grandchildren. Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday at East Funeral Home
in Texarkana. Burial: Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation: 7 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
