Florence Edgar and sent her a lot of genealogy information

from Robert Edgar (age 80) in 1892 to a granddaughter
describing the original
Edgar genealogy from Scotland in the Parish of Keir
Dumphries County.
He ( Robert Edgar 1814-1904) came to the township of West
Garafraxa, Ontario
Canada in 1845, in 1864 he went to Schuyler Nebraska and
died there in 1904.
Robert Edgar names his brothers and sisters in order so I
will start there
if anybody sees a connection email and I will try to sort
out the information



I wish there was a connection to my Edgars, but no luck
unfortunately. This is

Lanarkshire Glasgow Scotland. He married JANET MCALLISTER
August 6, 1860 in Central District, Glasgow Lanarkshire
Scotland. She was born Abt. 1838 in Lanarkshire, Glasgow,
Scotland.

Children of JAMES EDGAR and JANET MCALLISTER are:
2. i. ANDREW DINGWALL2 EDGAR, b. April 26, 1862, Bridgeton
Glasgow Scotland.
ii. ROBERT EDGAR, b. February 6, 1864, Milton, Glasgow

2. ANDREW DINGWALL2 EDGAR (JAMES1) was born April 26, 1862
in Bridgeton Glasgow Scotland. He married JANET MACLEAN,
daughter of CHARLES MACLEAN and MARY LIVINGSTON. She was
born June 26, 1864 in Cadder Lanarkshire, Glasgow, Scotland.

EUPHEMIA SCOTT GOSLAND July 5, 1909 in Glasgow Scotland,
daughter of ALLAN
GOSLAND and AGNES WALLBANKS. She was born June 5, 1889 in
Dennistoun Glasgow
Scotland, and died May 27, 1937 in Toronto, Ontario.

CATHRO 1923 in Scotland. He was born in Dundee Scotland.

Child of ANNIE EDGAR and DAVID CATHRO is:
i. HELEN4 CATHRO, b. 1928, Toronto Ont.

I think the Robert Edgar mentioned as son to James Edgar and
Janet McAllister
might have emigrated to Toronto Canada and later was part of
the Ontario Govt -
Minister of Labor, abt 1914. However, haven't confirmed
this as yet.

Unfortunately, I haven't found any information further back
than James Edgar. If
anyone thinks they have a connection, I'd like to share
information.
