I am looking for any information of the family of Samuel Parker. He came to
east Texas probably somewhere between 1860-1880. He was a log cutter and
worked in the woods of east Texas. He married Margaret A. Rhodes of Alabama
and they had the following children:
Minnie born 1882; Jesse born 1887; Alice born 1889; Bennie(?) born 1893; and
Ethyl born 1895. Ethyl married a man named English.
Margaret died in Nacogdoches in 1933.
This was the family of my dad, John Trail. His mom was Alice Parker Trail
and died when he was only 5 years old. He ended up on his own at the age of
12 and didn't remember much about his mom's family. He recently died and I
am trying to learn more about his mom's family.
Any information will be appreciated.
