Subject: ALEXANDER THOMPSON

Need parents and siblings for my ggg gf ALEXANDER THOMPSON who stated in
Austin's Register that he came to TX in 1823 and that he was born in GA ca
1797 or so. However, in the book on the 1830 census of TX, he stated that he
arrived in 1820. Alex was in Austin's Colony where he married ASENA ARNOLD in
May of 1829. He died in Dec 1839 in Montgomery Co, leaving my gg g.f. an
orphan and also his second wife a widow. She was Marthe Boyacan that he
married in Oct. 1839. There were a number of Thompsons in very early TX and I
know some of them were in the East TX counties. Does anyone recognize my Alex
Thompson as a member of their Thompson family??? This was not the Alexander
Thompson who came to TX from TN with Sterling Robertson - that one didn't
arrive in TX until 1830 or 31 and my Alex had already been here for some time
by the time the Robertson Colony Alex arrived. Any help appreciated.
