Subject: Searching for help in Leon County

There is no listing for a list for Leon County,but your lists description said
"and nearby couties" I am looking for any info on William Campbell,his wife
Minnie Patrick Campbell,or son Duncan Campbell.Duncan was born about 1876.The
family lived in Jewett.Duncan married my great-grandmother Eva Samantha
Campbell in Centerville in 1896.According to the 1910 Census they lived in
Palestine.They had children named:Wood b.1902,Robert Leo b.1903,Sophie
b.1905,Fred b.1906,Velma b. 1909,and Eva b.1910.
Velma Hudson Campbell was my grandmother.
Duncan Campbell,my great-grandfather left his wife and children in about
1912.It is beleived he may have had another family in Harris Co. with a lady
who went by the name of May.He worked as a brakeman for the railroad and
eventually died from gangrene where wounds never healed to an alligator bite
on his leg.It is recalled that he had other relatives in Jewett in Leon Co.
but the names are not recalled by elderly family members.
I am also searching for info on Duncan's wife's family.Samanth Eva Hinson of
Centerville in Leon Co. b.1880 d.1968.Her father was James Hinson and her
mother was Elizabeth Hudson.They had come to Texas from Salisbury, North Carolina.
My family is a mystery to me and any help would be greatly appreciated.
