Milburn Earp
1920 - 2005
Milburn Earp, 84, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2005, at his residence.

Graveside service: 10 a.m. Monday in Morgan Mill Cemetery, Morgan Mill.

Memorials: The Earp family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Morgan Mill Community Center, in care of Gary Key, P.O. Box 199, Morgan Mill 76465; or Birchman Baptist Church, 9100 N. Normandale St., Fort Worth 76116.

Milburn Earp was born Dec. 11, 1920, in Erath County to Ben and Dovie Earp. During the Depression, Mel was part of the Civilian Conservation Corps.

Mel honorably served his country in the U.S. Army Air Force as part of the 70th Service Squadron during World War II. He retired from Lockheed Martin after 37 years of dedicated service.

Mel was also a Masonic Lodge member for more than 50 years, receiving two Golden Trowel Awards.

Mel and Wanda celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary March 13. He was a member of Birchman Baptist Church.

Mel was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Carol.

Survivors: Devoted wife, Wanda Earp; children, Jane Blevins and husband, David of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Ben Earp and wife, Robin of Keller; grandchildren, Alan Blevins of Fairfield, Ohio, Tiffany Babcock of Hurst, Lynn Hohn of Dayton, Ohio, Debbie Whiteside of Azle, Dewayne Layton of Kopperl and Elizabeth Sherise Earp of Fort Worth; great-grandchildren, Kendra Hartigan, Trevor, Kyle and Luke Blevins and David and Elizabeth Hohn; sisters, Dorothy Evans and Ethel Montgomery of Stephenville.
