If any male Eagletons happen to attend this reunion, try to persuade at least one of them to take the y-DNA test offered by Family Tree DNA. I had a 3rd cousin of mine, a great-great grandson of Alexander Malcolm Eagleton (1827-1901) and Fanny (Bauguess) Eagleton take the test. The results were stunning and probably contain an important clue to the earlier Eagleton ancestry. The results need to be corroborated. A male patrilineal descendant of James Eagleton and Margaret (Montgomery) Eagleton would do, although it would be better to find a patrilineal descendant of David Eagleton (1748-1828) through a different son. I will gladly pay for the test.

Also, while doing research last December in Greene Co., TN, I think I found a good clue as to the identity of David Eagleton's first wife.
