Subject: [Dyfed] REES marrying JENKINS or MATHIAS 1850s
Date: Fri, 20 Feb 2009 20:24:25 +0000
Hello
In the 1871 census I have James REES (age 12) and John REES (age 10) living
with their uncle John MATHIAS (At 30 Manchester Sq. Milford)
John's wife was Jane JENKINS. So the boys' mother should have been a Jenkins
or a Mathias.
Just wondering if anyone can shed any light?
John Mathias was born in Walton West ca 1834, and Jane Jenkins was born in
Burton.
My mother (Norah Lane, formerly HOWELLS) is interested in finding out the
connection between her family and later generations of the Rees family,
including James Frederick (Fred) REES who always addressed her Mother as
"cousin". Mum is 88 and has been a great help in researching the family as
she has a good memory and has kept her mother's birthday book, which has
been a great source of information.
Thanks
Mary Bryceland
