Sorry i have no connection to give you . but if you look for Dupuy family name message board i think you will be very happy .The comte Barthélemy Dupuy was at the service of the King of France at the time of the cardinal DeRichelieu. being a Huguenot he had to escape France because of the Édit-de-Nantes to stay alive. He came to South Carolina on a Huguenot ship .
his descendants must be in the area. and all over North-America there is one in Canada.
You will be happy to find that he is connected to the First French Knight the crusader. His helmet and his sword are in the museum Palais du Louvre in France
