There is a death record for Francois X. Dumas (age 76 years and 4 months) on January 10, 1910 in Wayland, MA. This record states that Francois was married but does not give the name of his wife. His parents are identified as Julian Dumas and Catherine Cartier. In "Repertoire genealogique des marriages des descendants de Francois et de Marguerite Foy", Jean Dumas reports the marriage of Francois Dumas (son of Julien Dumas and Catherine Cartier) to Catherine Roy and reports that this marriage probably occurred in the USA. All of this fits with the Canadian Census data that CaspersJourney2 posted on 23 Dec 2008.

If you think this is the Francois Dumas you are looking for, let me know and I will e-mail pedigree charts showing the lineage of Julien Dumas back to Francois Dumas and Marguerite Foy.
