I am looking for information regarding William and Edward DUKE of
Shenandoah and Culpeper Cos., VA. I believe William to be Edward's
father, and William may have originally been from MD.

Edward DUKE md. Mary VAUGHT (also of Shenandoah Co., VA) and they had at
least 3 children: Malinda (my ancestor -- md. John WARNER of Culpeper
Co., VA), George Washington and Richard. I'm certain they had more
children... The family eventually picked up and moved to KY for a time,
and then on into OH and IL, Malinda and John ending up in Lawrence Co.,
IL. John died shortly after that, and Malinda remarried James CREWS (my
ancestor). They had one surviving son, Albert CREWS.

If anyone has any information on this DUKE family in VA, I would be
happy to exchange what information I have and see if we can come up with
a connection! Thanks!
