The William Lewis that I have been researching is the same one that is listed
in Max Perry's book.......Descendants of Robert Boyd and Charles Boyd
Families. There is a Lewis section in the book:

4 William Lewis b 1746 New Jersey m. Margaret Linn1770 d Fishing Creek

Had 10 known children:
5-Sarah died in infancy
5-Sarah b 1772 married James Wallace
5-John Lewis d infancy
5-Benjamin Lewis d infancy
5-William Lewis b 1777 m. Elizabeth _____?
5-Stillborn infant
5-Alexander Lewis m. Amaritta Rainey
5-Samuel Lewis b1782 m. 1st Mary Lemon 2nd Narcissa Gaston
5-James Lewis b 1784 d war of 1812
5-Margaret Lewis b 1786 m. James Boyd
6Rachel Elizabeth Boyd m. James Alexander Downing
There are several descendants of the above children named Margaret Lewis or
William Lewis.
I am sure you probably have all this info but just in case............Phyllis
