The funeral of Manuel Dover, 85, residing at 2105 East Thirty-fourth street,who died in a local sanitarium Wednesday morning, will be held in Wann’s chapel at 10 o’clock Wednesday morning,
with the Rev. T. G. Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial park. Surviving Mr. Dover are three daughters, Mrs. Susie Rouse, Mrs. Lula Elliott and Mrs. Bessie Harris, and five sons, Lee, James, and John Dover, all of Cartersville, GA, and Miller and Homer, of Chattanooga.

James William Dover Obituary
James William Dover, 91, Oneonta, died Aug. 27, 1983 in Blount Memorial Hospital, Oneonta. A retired farmer and sawmiller, the Cleburne County native was the son of Madison Monroe Dover and Frances LouElla Gilliland Dover. He was a member of Second Baptist Church, Oneonta.
Survivors include his wife Mamie Lucille Crumley Dover, 4 sons, Hershel Dover, Blountsville, Marshall E. Dover, Cullman, Willie Dover, Pontiac, Mich., and Dewey A. Dover, Flushing, Mich.; 3 daughters, Ruby Stansell, Holly Pond, Ada Crumley, Cullman route three, and Wanda Bradshaw, Oneonta, sister Rosa Lee Conn, Cullman, two step-daughters, Betty Lou Denson, Horton, and Carolyn Ruby Fay Vaughn, Trafford; five stepsons, Alton G. Gibbs, Cullman, Jackie T. Gibbs, Crane Hill, Kenneth Gibbs, Dothan, Ralph S. Gibbs, Sumiton, and Jerry W. Gibbs, Oneonta; 33 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Aug. 29, 4 p.m., Corinth Bapt. Church, Joppa, Revs. John A. Lankford and Kenneth Terry officiating. Interment followed in adjoining cemetery, Lemley directing.
