What part of Alabama did they go to?
My John Jenkins Dobbins b. 1880 , father was James Dobbins. I know that John Jenkins Dobbins married Mandy Scott in 1905 in Randolph County, Alabama, there first son Noah Lee was born in Ohatchee, Calhoun County Alabama in 1907 as were Zula Gray, and James Cooper, born there. Hubert Louis b. 1919, and Anna Elizabeth b. 1922 were born in Cross County, Arkansas.
John Jenkins had a brother JAMES DOBBINS lived in Birmingham, Alabama and owned a Lumber Mill or something to do with Lumber products. Also they had a sister Elizabeth that lived in the Birmingham, Al. area.
