I am not aware of any documentation that prove that the Dill lived in Scotland before they lived in Fanad.  The precinct of Fanad is west of Lough Swilly, and Inishowen is east of Lough Swilly in the northern part of County Donegal.  I am aware that the area where John Dill lived in 1665 was predominantly native Irish but it was not entirely native Irish.  I plan to do more genealogy work.  I can probably look where earlier Dill researches have not looked but I do not know if I will find any documentation that prove the Dill once lived in Scotland.
