Pat Tagart has three L21 samples listed in his project now. One is his
own DNA (Scot modal). I know of a fourth in the Leinster modal cluster.
I don't know if the others are funded yet. We have two self-funded
volunteers from the M222 project. Both are from Ireland. They're a GD
of 6 at 37 markers.
I think what you're saying is there is a slight possibility of finding a
new SNP that subdivides perhaps a small portion of M222.
The Conroy sample in the project (M222+) is a huge genetic distance from
either of the two self-funded Irish samples at 37 markers (17). He also
comes from Ireland (Co. Laois). I don't know if that would qualify
under your different branch segment theory or not but it's probably the
most diverse sample we have.
