John,
I also volunteer my DNA sample. My YSearch ID is 8CA3N and that of my
father's 2nd cousin is 59CKP. We differ only on multi-copy markers due to
a
deletion in the palindromic region somewhere between my great great
grandfather and me. However, we deviate from the R-M222 modal haplotype on
markers: DYS 455 =10, DYS 576 =19, and DYS CDYa =39. The DYS 455 = 10 is
quite rare I'm told.

Like Paul, I'd pay $25 for this. Just let me know where to apply.

John

I wouldn't do anything yet. We'd need a lot more volunteers to cover the
$750 cost of another test. And I think we'd have to chose the testee
wisely. We've already got two Irish volunteers. I still think a Scot might be
the best if a third test could be funded. Maybe one of the 391 = 10 Scots?

I'm keeping track of people who responded on the Walk on the Y issue.

You'd need about 30 people contributing at the $25 level to cover the
cost. I also don't know if there's any big rush. I think they said something
about doing the tests in several different waves.

I just posted the .pdf file Walk on the Y application if anyone would like
to see it. I can't say I understand exactly what they're doing.
