John,
I would also be interested, as being the most divergent of the 500 something
R-M222+ members, at GD=15 from modal, it may be that my DNA can shed some
light on the origins of the group.
I am now of the opinion that I may not be a descendant of Niall, but he and
I may share a common ancestor even farther back in time. I also think that
my STR 391=10 is ancestral, but that Niall carried 391=11, which is modal
for the bulk of R-M222+, who are his descendants.
I also have 449=32, which although rare is widespread, and I share it with
some Dunn/Dunne's and some Kelly's, and one Daugherty (who also has 391=10),
and a Patterson, Cowan, Bonner and others. I also have CDY b=41, which is
also rare, but shared with many Cowan's, some Davidson's, some
Doherty/Daughety, and also one McCourt, McGovern. Brennan, Campbell, Besst,
Alexander, Clarkson, Denney, Burns and others.
So I'm willing to pony up $25 for this, where do I apply?
Of course I'd also like to see anyone who is R-M222+, who lives in
Continental Europe tested - not someone with a German/French name who lives
in the US, as that could be the result of an NPE...
Cheers,
Paul
