<Maybe I should have at least a dilettante's look at the data, but I know I
will not have the patience to go through all the R:M222 haplotypes and
compute surname modals for myself. Can someone refer me to a list of R:M222
surname modals?

David, I just posted an old file I put together a long time ago on M222
family modals. There may be more now but at the time there weren't enough
samples for many surnames to even construct a modal or the samples didn't
match up well enough.
