There might be some support for that. Hard to say. O'Rahilly and a lot
of other historians saw a connection between the Menapi of Ptolemy's map and
the tribe named the Manaigh, from which comes both Fermanagh and Monaghan.
I've never heard that said about the Isle of Mann though. I don't think
(but don't know for sure) that anyone else has tried to connect the Manaigh
with the Soghan.
