<You are correct John, we "believe" it to be a geographical surname
(Brittany, France) vice patrilineal, however, we both have a paper trail
to Johan Jacob Lamineck of Germany though his is a bit more hazy.

You do have a problem there somewhere then.

<I will just need more samples to see if I can get a definitive DNA
signature for the American surname line.

Let us know what you find. That should be interesting.
