I came across Kindelan 5WYUU, R1b1b2e (tested), who has his origin on the
Meath/Kildare border. Kindelan (O Caoindealbain) surname unlike other Southern
Ui Neill surnames it is not also found amongst the Northern Ui Neill?
So a M222+ O'Caoindealbain as the senior line of Cenel Laoghaire in Meath
would suggest the South Ui Neill were also M222+?
Kindelan seems like a reasonable southern Ui Neill surname. MacLysaght also
renders the name Connellan. I also found a Geoghegan on the Sorenson site,
another strong southern Ui Neill surname. That's from Cenel Fiachach mac
Neill. So those are two groups said to be southern Ui Neill. Maybe they are
M222 and we just haven't found the samples yet. A2GCJ Molloy Tipperary,
Ireland might be another one, also Cenel Fiachach mac Neill.
I wish I could identify some O Maelsechlainn DNA. They were high kings of
Ireland, an important family into the 1500s.
