One thought (and maybe hard in realty) is group GDs by geography not surname.

I have the same problem with geography - most samples just do not know where
they are from. Some are guesswork based on surname books.

I put the entire M222 project online in spreadsheet format as well. It's
sorted by FTDNA and can be manipulated and run through the McGee utility if
anyone wants to tackle it.
