Yes, it would mean that the Belgae (Fir Bolg) were progenitors of the
Connachta, and through them the Ui Neill.
The credibility of all this really lies in the architecture of the
structures in TUROE in Galway, is there an Opidum there, of the type that
Caesar described as being typical of the Belgae.

We do know though that the "Turoe stone" is one of the best La Tene
artifacts in existence anywhere...
