<I liked the history lesson, however I thought in Irish history the Fir
Bolg are Laigin. The Fir Bolg lands where later settled by their
relatives the Airgiallan (Ui Maine). None of which are related to M222
(Connachta people)?

Bernard, the Lagin are distinct from the supposed Fir Bolg. I'm not
sure the Fir Bolg really existed except in the imagination of the
scribes who wrote the Milesian legends. O'Rahilly tried to equate them
with the Belgae and then to the Erainn but that might be a stretch. If
O'Rahilly is correct the Lagin had their own invasion leader, Labraid
Loingsech, from Armorica in Gaul.
