I liked the history lesson, however I thought in Irish history the Fir Bolg are Laigin. The Fir Bolg lands where later settled by their relatives the Airgiallan (Ui Maine). None of which are related to M222 (Connachta people)?

The Connachta (M222) people's (including Ui Neills) lands start in Meath (the missing southern Ui Neill). At the Shannon the Connachta (Ui Brioin, Ui Fiachrach and Ui Ailella) ruled lands curve up through Roscommon up to Sligo. Then crossing Sligo Bay into Donegal we have the Northern Ui Neill. The expansion into eastern Tyrone by the Northern Ui Neill seems to be a paper invasion (fake pedigrees). Would this this an accurate description of Historical perception of Connachta lands?
