<Like John, I am switching to calling M222 just that and skipping the
competing FTDNA and ISOGG designations. We should all use the furthest
"downstream" SNP we have. As for the initial letters, EthnoAncestry uses
'S' while FTDNA apparently uses several such as 'U', 'P', and 'L'. I
think 'L' means it is still under development and will eventually be
changed to a 'P' but I am not sure.
Here is the URL of Thomas Krahn's worksheet. Scroll down it to see
his chart. Though not marked on it, S116 is P312, S28 is U152, and S145
is L21.
Thanks, Paul. I'll add that URL for Thomas Krahn's version of the
haplogroup tree to the site. It's easier to follow in some ways.
