I mentioned I found a DNA listing for a Baron Johnson on the Clan McShane
website. I assumed this listing referred to the Barons Johnson connected to
the O'Neills of the Fews but maybe it doesn't. Maybe Baron is just a first n
ame.
The DNA listed on the Clan McShane site as Baron Johnson is a perfect match
(26 markers) with the following on Ysearch:
429XK Johnson Tweedmouth, United Kingdom, 1841
So no O'Neills of the Fews on this one. Probably not even irish either.
If anyone's interested there's another claimant to the O'Neills of the Fews
out there:
H6Q4J O'Neill Puerto Rico
He doesn't match much of anything either.
Sorry if I led anyone astray with that Baron Johnson/O'Neill of the Fews
business.
