Subject: [DNA-R1B1C7] Query on Marker Value of 10 at DYS436

I have been contacted by a R1b1c6 YSearch researcher with a query on my
DYS 436 marker value result of 10.
His examination of the R1b1c7 databases indicated that this value of 10 was
individually different to the usual value of 12 on the generality of R1b1c7
DYS436 results.
He also pointed out that he had found no one with an intermediate value
of 11 within the Ysearch R1b1c7 Group results.
He found only 5 similar cases showing the 10 marker value in the plain R1b1c
databases.
As DYS436 is apparently a slow moving marker he wondered if the
odd-man-out value of 10 on the DYS 436 marker had any unusual significance.
He also wondered if the result could be an error.
(can one economically test for One Marker ?)
Can anyone throw any light on his query.
Obviously the more Tests the more variety of results will be found.
Unfortunately my test is currently the only comprehensively extended Test
for my Family Name, so there are no supposedly close comparisons available.
An Irish Clarke (YSearch ECCPK), who may possibly be originally
Ó Cléirigh and therefore anciently related, shows the usual 12 value at DYS 436.
