There are some R1b1c7 Cannons listed in Ysearch; I think a few of them list
an origin in Donegal but it's been awhile since I looked. The Ua Canannans
were kings of Tirconnell prior to the rise of O'Donnell. Under the O'Clerys,
historians to the O'Donnells, their pedigree was suppressed; only a partial
pedigree is to be found in the 17th century O'Clery Book of Genealogies.
