Does anyone know if there is any special significance to DYS448? Looking at my project haplotypes today, I noticed that all 17 members of my Northwest Cluster (seven tested as R1b1c7 and most of the others predicted), the more that 20 members of my Leinster Cluster, and the nine members of my Northeast Cluster (Louth and Monaghan) have the same '18' at 448. In contrast, more than 30 of the project members who are yet to be "clustered" are 19 0r 20 at this marker. Yet the three modals for the LE, NW, and NE clusters are not at all close.
Thanks for any thoughts.
Paul
