Subject: [DNA-R1B1C7] New Scottish DNA Centre: R1b1c7 Phylo Tree

Earlier this year, The Sunday Herald carried this article:
"New centre will offer DNA tests to trace family roots
Swabbing kits will boost ancestral tourism economy as clan associations show huge interest
A NEW Scottish forensics centre is set to offer the public an opportunity to trace their genetic links in a move that could boost tourism. The centre, based at Glasgow Caledonian University, will be unique by teaming traditional family history search services with modern DNA genetic profiling technology, to help people from around the world trace their Scottish roots. Dr John Gow, director of the Centre for Forensic Investigation, said that the DNA profiling service would encourage tourists to visit Scotland."
Does anyone know if the centre is up and running? I would dearly love to get some Scots Burns samples to see if they match my 17-member R1b1c7 group, or possibly my Leinster cluster.

Regarding the first-mentioned group, of the 17, twelve have been tested at 37 markers. A phlyogenetic tree chart of the 12 may show five distinct lines varying from two single-member, two two-member, and two three-member ones. Granted, I need many more samples to confirn these. The mutations in these lines from their common center (my project's Northwest Modal) vary between six and nine.
