Dear all

In all this talk about tracing DNA origins and patterns of migration and
settlement etc, there is one clear theme. It seems to be theorised that
populations moved out of the glacial refuges as hunter/gatherer tribes who
migrated along the coasts, with populations settling along the route. This
evening (Sun 16/9) there is a Ray Mears programe on BBC2 which examines what
stone age Britons would have eaten if they lived on the coast. It promises
to illustrate just what life would have been like for those ancient
populations we are discussing here on this discussion group. Put a bit of
flesh on the bones so to speak.
