My project has 17 members who appear to be R1b1c7. Our surname(s) is not in the Trinity study. The spellings vary among Burns, Byrne, O'Byrne, Byrnes, and Beirne. Geographically, We seem to range from Roscommon through Sligo and Donegal to Monaghan, with one member insisting he is of Scots origin. I have no idea whether we have a connection with Niall, and as yet I have no idea where we all come together, if indeed we do.
