John,
Donohoe and Flannagan are definitely Irish names, Devine is usually
considered Irish, Slavens is possibly related to Slavin, which is usually
considered Irish too.
The problem with some of the names derived from native Irish in the North of
Ireland is that they have been migrating to Scotland for the last few
centuries - mostly to work in industry - and so the name may be widely
distributed in Lowland Scotland also.
