What the heck is a 464x test and what is this ccgg thing, is this just
another way to get bucks or what? And how much is it and how do you order it

What is its worth? I am a R1b1c7, and Dunbar and my Ancestors sail to the
Americas from Northern Ireland. I have seen noting in all these e-mail
once
about Dunbar's in Ireland?
The 464X test probably wouldn't have meaning for an R1b1c7.
As to Dunbars, the name appears prominently in Hill's Plantation of Ulster
in at least one Irish county as one of the Planters/servitors who received
land grants in 1609. There are least 3-4 Dunbars listed in the 1630 Muster
Rolls for Donegal; one in the Hearth Money Rolls, 1665; and once in the 1659
census in Kilmacrenan barony in Donegal, where a David Dunbare is a titulado in
Augnish parish. These were all Scots plantation folk.

Land grants in Donegal
Alexander Dunbar
Precinct of Boylagh
Hill's Notes:
A kinsmen, either uncle of cousin-german of James McCulloch [who also
received a grant in Donegal].... The Dunbars are early noticed as a family of high
rank in Galloway. They are supposed to be of Saxon origin, and to have
derived their surname from the lands and castle so called in Haddingtonshire. The
first of the family in Scotland is understood to have been a fugitive Earl
of Northumerland, who sought protection in the court of Malcolm III, by whom
he was well received, and who granted him the lands of Dunbar.
The Saxon origin here referred to seems to be a reference to the Saxon king
dom of Northumerland in England.
Land Grants in Fermanagh
Precinct of Magheriboy
John Dunbar, Esq.
Hills notes: The grandson of Sir John Dunbar of Mochrum, in Wigtonshire.
He also held the office of the High Sherriff of Fermanagh.
Lands Grants in Cavan Couny
Precinct of Clancy
William Downbarr
The fact that Scottish Dunbars in Ireland test R1b1c7 should be a surprise
to no one. Lots of Galloway families are NW Irish. Exactly how and when they
came to Galloway is the great unknown. The claim that the Dunbars are
Saxons from Northumerland (just south of Galloway) in England is interesting -
there is a fair amount of R1b1c7 in Northumberland county as well as is in all
of the border counties.
