I don't know if Joel Sinor has been SNP-tested, but his uncle (or
granduncle? -- I lose track) Billy Sinor has. Billy is M222+ and definitely
R1b1c7. Joel will necessarily be in the same haplogroup. The H1a label on
his Ysearch page must be a data entry error. You can't rely on the "tested"
note, as that is some kind of notation that FTDNA puts on haplogroups for
data control reasons. It doesn't actually mean what it seems to.
The 9EUBC haplotype is a little peculiar in that it is incomplete. It has
the first panel of 12 markers and then several markers from the 38-67 range.
Thanks for bringing this up, as it prompts me write to Billy and Joel to
invite them to join the R1b1c7 project.
