In my opinion the Melungeon Hypothsies started out as back woods folklore
that turned into a
contagious phenomena That has simply has grown out of control. Folks are
atempting to invent a new race of people. Melungeon's are simply people of
mixed blood. That became victims of racial segregation. they have a wide range
of physical characteristics and DNA.
there are various theories on who the Melungeons were, and what their
ancestry was. This makes the Melungeons all the more interesting, because no one
knows for certain their background or origins, (though many have VERY strong
opinions on the matter).
