I am the administrator of the Byrne/Burns/Beirne Project, and of our 87 members 14 of us are grouped in our project's Northwest Cluster. Seven are confirmed R1b1c7 and the other seven are estimated to be. While most of us have Irish roots, at least one is convinced that his ancestors came to the USA from Scotland in the late 1700s. Those of us with good paper trails trace back to Roscommon, Sligo, and Donegal.
