You can also look on GENUKI for Insolvent Debtors for Devon (by Lindsey
Withers) various dates, which gives a lot of detail about people petitioning
for their release from prison.

My particular interest William GIBBINGS from Bampton is on there in 1835.
He was "relieved" of his interest in the Town Mill or Bampton Mill left to
him by his father. It was taken on by Trustees on behalf of his four sons.
