I couldn't see him in the burials at Northam in 1836 on Genuki (Appledore became a separate parish in 1844).

Perhaps it was the Appledore in Kent?   There is another hamlet in Devon called Appledore which is in the parish of Burlescombe but the parish records are not online.

Please could someone help me to find out more about William SIMONS who
was an articled clerk and who died in June 1836 in Appledore.  I know
there's more than one Appledore but I don't know which this refers to.

Any help would be appreciated.
