I am very sad to hear of the death of Ray. My mother's ancestors were from
the South Hams, and Ray has personally helped me with email solutions to
problems on many occasions. His website has been a truly invaluable resource
for my own researches and I have confidently referred other South Hams
researchers to it in the knowledge that what they could not find there, Ray
would do his best to help with promptly on receipt of an email query.

Kate is so right to say that we have lost a good friend.
